在21世纪，学生主动学习能力逐渐成为适应时代与社会发展的必备能力，但是在实际英语课堂当中，教师运用传统的教学方法，导致学生自主性差，因此，本文将5E教学模式与主动学习理论进行整合，形成主动学习视角下的5E教学模式，并以以牛津译林版《英语》高中教材必修三Unit 4阅读课为例，引导学生5E教学模式与主动学习理论进行整合的模式下，建立联系、主动思考、理解概念、内化知识、自我反思，从而使学生主动构建文章意义。
